The desert and my life
You must have read about the desert,
Read about it in your books of science,
There were oceans where deserts now stand,
Now all they are is dry, empty wasteland,
Dry, much alike my tear spent eyes,
Empty as is my lonely heart.
Not a drop of rain graces the earth,
Not a drop of happiness in my life,
Barren with no joy to be found,
The desert and my 'life'.
But then again deserts have use,
Home to wildlife and fossils fuels,
And here I am with nothing to give,
Useless, broken, stupid fool.
